A chilling tale in a slightly lighter vein than Let The Right One In. The suggestion of a supernatural element is still there- There's, the Little Star of the title, is portrayed as someone that is maybe not fully human, although a full explanation of her origins is never given.
Every section of the book leaves you desperate to read the next, all incorporating enough shock and surprise to keep you interested whilst often ramping up the suspense.
The thirteen girls who fall under Theres' spell are all explored in enough detail that you get a feel for them and question why they are choosing to do such unthinkable things. The main girl, Teresa, is such a complex little character that my heart broke for her.
This book constantly left me wanting more and I wouldn't hesitate to read further into the authors back catalogue.

This book was long and this book was bad. I never became fully engulfed in the story. I held on with hope that the ending would make the previous 600+ worth it. They did not.
