This was fine. It’s is gory (which I don’t have a problem with) but honestly it didn’t feel very scary to me personally, which I would have liked. I do like the representation of the different ways the kids handle the grief of losing their father, but otherwise I did not find the characters very interesting. I read this because I had heard this was a great horror graphic novel but overall I was disappointed. It wasn’t bad, but I didn’t really care about most of what was happening.

I didn’t care for this story or art style. It didn’t do it for me. I am more of a bright color palette, rainbows and puppies graphic novel gal so it was very hard for me to get into this. Anyone that has a broad taste in genre and art styles will appreciate this story much more than myself.
