What a build! The first 700 pages or so took a while to read. It felt slow and repetitive, but it still did a good job sparking intrigue and introducing interesting characters. 

The main POV characters are all very compelling, especially Kaladin and Dalinar. I hope Jasnah becomes a POV character in a later book. 

The last 500 pages kept me hooked! 

Despite the fact this is book #1, it feels more like a prologue #0. Excited to read the rest of the series, but I need a breather before diving back in.
