Sarah MacLean’s historical romances are the best in the game. Gabriel is my favourite rake turned wife guy in the MacLean universe so far.
This was REALLY fun in some parts and I want to give it four stars, but then I keep thinking about some of the cliché love bits and I can't do it. I don't know if it's the writer or just that this genre makes me nuts (all virgins, all marriages, all doe-eyes being tutored in love by rakes, pregnancies and scandals amuck, reminders of how recently things simply sucked for women). I did enjoy the humor, the banter, and the heroine herself. I'm going to give one more of this author's books a try.

This is one of those books where I was acutely aware of how ridiculous both it and my reaction to it were at all times but just didn't care. Curse you, Ralston.

Hmmmmm. This kind of read like self-insert fanfic written by Callie. Not necessarily in a completely bad way?
