I picked this up for the Vaginal Fantasy book club and probably wouldn't have broken into historical romance otherwise. However, I did really enjoy the cast of characters, good sense of humor, and plot twists. The device of the list worked very well, and the sex scenes were sexy and involved enthusiasm on both parts, always a win. I do think MacLean overuses the word "plunder" when describing said sexy activities. Maybe this doesn't bother anyone else but the world was a bit of a turnoff for me. I'll likely check out her other works.
Interessant bog i guess.... Den er sku bare lidt sær, og de der ni regler er lidt absurde
Two and a half stars
I liked the emotions between the 2 main characters towards the end but how they got there was perplexing.

I can not believe I waited so long to start reading Sarah Maclean!!!!! This hit a lot of the tropes I love in a historical. Shy lady who sets out on adventures, dragging along the man she’s pined over for years. I loved the list she made. I loved Callie and Gabriel’s banter and the way he’d get so frustrated with her. I especially enjoyed the way Gabriel was completely bowled over by Callie. The entire book was delightful. Sarah Maclean gave me everything I love. The heart clenching angst, the swoon, the steam.
“Love does not destroy, Gabriel. It creates.” I swoon.

I would give this book TEN stars if I had that many to choose from. From the first page to the last I enjoyed every second of it. This book has some of the most likable characters I have ever read and the humour was fantastic. I adored Callie and want her as a friend in real life. I now have to read everything that Sarah MacLean ever puts out!
