I read this book last year while deployed and lost a ton of sleep! Omg it’s addicting and you can’t get enough! Lots of angst and wanting to throw your Kindle! Ready for Execution to come out next month so I can get my Kova fix!! #TeamKova!!!

If you’re looking for an age gap, taboo book, look no further. At first I wasn’t sure how I felt about the relationship but as the series continued, I was rooting for them the ENTIRE time. All the characters are really well developed. I cannot recommend this series enough.

woooww

I have no words, I am shocked to my core.
I can’t believe this is only book one and I have gone through so many emotions. I don’t know how I feel or what I feel..
But 1000/10 would recommend to any and everyone!

Now I need book two!

I honestly should have DNFed this book because my heart just wasn't in it. It had so much promise - sports romance, age gap, coach and athlete, etc. you get the drill, but it just fell apart upon execution. For starters, I did not love the fact that the FMC was 16 (a MINOR) and that her coach (and love interest) was old enough to be her dad practically. Now I'm not saying I'm opposed to age gap romances in general, it's just that I prefer to read age gaps where both characters are over the age of 18 and are both consensual parties (it felt like there were parts of the book where the FMC was resistant or hesitant to what the MMC was doing - literally the definition of sexual assault). If someone says no - no means no! It's a fundamental principle. Also the fact that the MMC was in a serious relationship with another woman and didn't once think to end the relationship if he was going to act on his pedophile ways... it makes me so frustrated when there is the cheating trope involved and I honestly don't see how anyone could have even the slightest idea of cheating especially when they have been in a relationship for as long as the MMC (not that the length of the relationship prior to the cheating matters). Not to mention that the pacing was so slow I felt like I was being burned my molten lava at thousands of degrees. I am so disappointed because this has been on my TBR for so long and I was very intrigued at the concept but it just was a vastly different book than the one I had pictured in my head. Overall, I was disgusted by this book and will not be continuing the series 🫠

This is not a story about a sweet guy. Kova is the absolute worst but also super addicting! I am either rooting for Hayden or trusting that Kova will have some major character redemption in another book. I could not put down this book!

Finds the LI intolerable to a degree. The LI is also her coach, it feels less chemistry between them more just one-sided. That puts the imaginary  aspects on the side of the reality of age-gap relationship.
