I've read better Sedaris, this one just did not click for me, and wasn't as humorous to me as his other works. Very likely because of how very little of it ages well. I was cringing a lot, but did like the vintage Raleigh throwback references that always get me feeling nostalgic for home.

okay so the first three or so essays were boring šŸ˜” so I dropped the book early this month but then yesterday night the voices told me to pick it back up again so I listened and the rest of the stories were amazing so I finished the book in a day šŸ”„ I feel like my rating is in between a 4.25 and a 4.5 but I’m rounding up ā¬†ļø

I found this to be more of the same, and ended up really not caring for it. Perhaps, it also has to do with hearing Sedaris on NPR and finding him somewhat annoying. Instead of finding the humor as in his previous work, all I could see is a petty, selfish man.
