I love these characters. This debut novel was absolutely wonderful to devour.

My only complaint about the book was there wasn't a different enough voice for the characters from chapter to chapter. I'm confident with how well the novel was written, that this will be stronger in the sequels. I'm looking forward to the next books.

I just need to learn that I am not a "go on a journey" girlie... I liked the concept of this book, and the gods were interesting. But I was bored for most of the book.

I ended up DNFing Godkiller. I really wanted to love it, especially since it came recommended by someone I trust. But I found myself not clicking with the writing style, characters, or the world in the way I’d hoped. Sometimes it’s just a matter of timing or personal taste, and I don’t want to force myself through a book if it isn’t connecting, because then I risk resenting it instead of giving it a fair chance. I’m really glad it was added to my TBR, though it pushed me to try something I might not have picked up otherwise. And I'm not completely ruling it out. I may return to it sometime.
