The first ~100 pages were a bit slow but it's all introductory. The plot picks up after that and quickly becomes a page turner- I had to know what happened next.
This was epic historical fiction with a murder mystery and romance subplot, all genres I love. The book covers very important topics and will keep you guessing. I highly recommend this book to everyone, just check TWs just in case you are sensitive to certain subjects.
