This book is a fun read with a surprising amount of spice, but it missed the mark for me. I thought this was one of the better takes on enemies-to-lovers, they were legitimately annoyed with each other in the beginning and you could really see their perceptions of each other changing! So I loved that realistic aspect, but the constant miscommunication? I can deal with the unable-to-talk-about-my-feelings trope when it's in a young adult novel, but it does NOTTT work when the characters are adults. Grown adults should be able to talk about their feelings.
The story would be 75% shorter if they could simply.. tell each other how they feel..?!!?

The other gripe I had was the foodie aspect. Compared to other novels I've read with a foodie/chef MC, this one fell very flat. There weren't any juicy descriptions of the meals or smells, no clear love or devotion to the craft, other than being told Nina loved to cook, anyways. Her passion felt really underplayed!

Started out strong, but by the end I really just wanted to be finished.

Excellent story, exactly what I was looking for. An enemies-to-lovers romantic comedy. With love and laughter. I enjoyed this book immensely. I love the author's twist on gender expectations, making Leo more sensitive than Nina. As well as all the humour. It's definitely a 5 star read.

A solid enemies to lovers romance. I enjoyed Nina and Leo a lot and their chemistry in the middle of the book was SIZZLING. I wanted more! However, the third half of the book dragged on as the misunderstanding got way out of hand. It got annoying. I would've enjoyed Leo/Nina reuniting in the food scene like a new show together. Overall, not bad!
