This was okay. I never really felt the suspense I should have, especially considering this was definitely based on Agatha Christie's [b:And Then There Were None|16299|And Then There Were None|Agatha Christie|https://i.gr-assets.com/images/S/compressed.photo.goodreads.com/books/1638425885l/16299._SY75_.jpg|3038872], which had several other names before that one, both including the number ten, and is one of the best suspense/mystery books ever. I didn't really care about any of the character and their motivations were often just sort of convenient and one dimensional. The ending wasn't enough to pull it up either. A middling book. Though I have enjoyed others by the author.
Speaking as someone who grew up reading Agatha Christie, this book flipping rocks! TEN is a fantastic modern homage to AND THEN THERE WERE NONE.
Gretchen McNeil is a master of suspense with a delightfully dark and creepy sense of humor. The pacing and the build-up were spot on. She managed to throw in a romance without it feeling too contrived. I couldn't wait to figure out who the murderer was and I have to say I was genuinely surprised. Absolutely brilliant! TEN is definitely one of those books I could read again and again. Read it.

Can't say I really get the whole "this terrible experience brought us together so now this ends on a weirdly romantic note" trope in horror novels. None of the characters are particularly memorable or likable. Not a terrible read, but not amazing. 2.5 stars

I’m honestly really pleasantly surprised with this book. I thriller is always a win for me if it can genuinely freak me out and the sheer amount of murder in this book really did that. I don’t know if the romance was necessary but it was ya so I’m not that upset. Entertaining and freaky time.

Libro maravilloso y muy enganchante. Deja un final bastante menos impactante quue la historia, ya que esta muy bien tratada.
Es cortito y en un dia o dos te lo les perfectamente. Muy recomendado!!

re-read this from grade school - was my FAVORITE BOOK then and it definitely holds up! really good murder mystery book involving 10 teens, an island, weekend getaway trapped on said island and one by one… people start disappearingggggg - fast read!
