OMG!!! VIDEO REVIEW TO COME UP ON MY CHANNEL!!
This book was made for me! I love stories like "And Then There Were None," and this book was certainly a direct homage to the Agatha Christie classic. Although the characters might have been a bit underdeveloped, the pace and tension were perfect and made for quite a thrill ride! When I picked up the book at midnight to read a chapter before bed, little did I know I'd still be up at 4:30am finishing the book! I loved the fact that there was a red herring twist to trick anyone who thought they were clever enough to guess the ending. I'd love to see this made into a movie. Wild teen party, spooky setting, scary DVD to set the mood and crazy diary to keep the audience guessing. Sounds like a blockbuster to me!

I loved this book! I have been in a very big reading slump lately and this got me out of it. I loved the atmosphere and plot. I would have never guessed who the killer was. Nice one from Gretchen McNeil. Will be looking into reading more of her books.
Loved it!

I loved it.! Very Suspenseful, it was so good. I've never really read a suspenseful book but I'm glad I did.
It's a "I know what you did last summer" meets "the pretty little liars".

after having a mini-crisis for trying to read Gretchen Mcneil's book, I picked this one up and I wasn't very disappointed. It wasn't the absolute best of her books like her #murdertrending series in my opinion (those were my first books ever read by her when I was younger, and absolutely loved it cause I was in my angst phase of books) but I did enjoy it cause I was looking for exactly that. A horror, thriller, mystery with romance cause I ain't gonna read someone going through and seeing literal murders and murders that look like suicides and be so traumatized and not end up with a boyfriend through trauma bonding. (I'm joking. but I'm also not joking.) so yeah anyways...book was a solid 3 out of 5 stars not my absolute favorite, but did have some type of romance and HE'S BLACK like omg AND have a movie that I have not yet watched.

Too cliche, too predictable, and the main character made me want to strangle her.
a big fat one star rating goes to "Ten".

This novel was a creepy look into a serial killer's horrid attack on ten teenagers. The whole plot is a sociopath's dream, the details were methodical and kept the reader on edge the whole time. I checked my room like five times while reading this at night (which I don't recommend doing.) The basic plot is that ten teenagers are having a party on a secluded island, for three days, and get hunted down one by one: each death marked with a red slash on the wall of the house.
Basically, if you like horror movies, you will love this book. The author laid all the details out so perfetly, there were no loose ends in the plot anywhere. I like to think that I could have predicted some of the plot twists, but I really didn't. Every twist wasn't what I expected, but it fit into the plot perfectly. Normally there are loose ends, but I can't think of any. Gretchen McNeil is a great author for this genre, and I need to read more of her books!
The action went really fast. There were no moments in this book where the characters were calm, and staying still. But the description was written nicely, so I was never lost. There are books with a ton of action that don't describe what's happening enough; and I can get totally lost. But this book wasn't like that. Gretchen McNeil has a future in writing fast-paced stories.
That's really all for this review, I don't think I have anything bad to say about it. I recommend it 100%!
