i dont normally read mysteries or thrillers but i’m glad i picked up this book. i definitely had a hard time following all of the characters but i definitely want to read more from this author.

As someone who does not normally read crime fiction this was more dark and disturbing than I expected. However, I respected how well Cosby wove the history and politics of the South into the story, as well as themes of grief and family.
