Nope. He makes no sacrifices, his grovel is weak. So she gives up her life to move back to her trash town and where he still socializes with his basic friends from high school. She has growth and he...is a responsible parent?

I really needed a Sam Mariano hit while waiting for the Untouchable series. This was not it.

This book had me equally a mess. The push and pull between Nikki and Derek was crazy intense. After 7 years I think Nikki wanted to believe that she had moved on but we all know she hadn’t. She had her walls up high and just didn’t trust to fall in love again. You know the moment Derek comes back into her life that she is not over him and we definitely know Derek never got over her even if he was willing to stay in a miserable loveless relationship because of his child. Although I do feel Derek earned his redemption. He fought hard for Nikkis forgiveness. He should of fought for her like that from the start but whatever life doesn’t always go as planned. I’m glad they ended up getting their HEA.

This book was way better than the first one. I did not understand some of the characters in this book. I liked them, but I did not understand them. Also, feel bad for Henry, he deserved better.
