100 pages in, I was able to figure out who the killer is. To be proven right by the end of the book is so disappointing.

A solid investigative read that made for a good road trip audiobook. Fans of Long Bright River would definitely enjoy.

I didn’t hate it and I didn’t really like it but I did enough to finish. This was all about the mystery and catching a murderer. Not really my type of book. I thought we would see the romantic development while catching a murderer but it wasn’t there until the very end. That made the romance very unbelievable for me. I did like the plot but I guessed who it was way too quickly (I only have a successful guess rate of about 25%) and I didn’t really feel like we got any big twists or turns that would make me have liked this more as part of the mystery/thriller genre instead of romance.

It was cool. Not as suspenseful as you’d think a book about a serial killer would be.

The romance between Jordan and Spenser is a little cheesy, but they are both likable characters. It’s not difficult to figure out the perpetrator but it does not take away from the intrigue.
