"Don't look now."
Oh trust me, I tried-

*as I always say, this is not and will never be against the author, just my personal opinions mushed together in a semi-coherent way*

I can see why many people would like this, I sadly, did not see it.
I feel so bad right now
should I though?

This novel is suspenseful and gripping and a terrific page turner! I got so invested in the story that I finished the book in a day. I had my suspicions on who the killer was and needed to know the ending. Mary Burton kept me doubting myself and there were so many twists and turns I kept thinking I still didn't have the answer. The tension surrounding all of the characters and the manner in which the clues came together was absolutely thrilling. Due note that this book is listed as romance but it is definitely more mystery/thriller with a splash of romance.

Some triggers that you may want consider when picking up this book - Murder, Sexual Assault and Drug Use.

I want to thank Netgalley, the Mary Burton and Montlake for the e-ARC of this book. Opinions expressed in this review are honest, my own and left voluntarily.

This was a police procedural with an interesting element that I LOVED. When the lead detective loses her sight, things get interesting. That aspect made this book stand out amongst the others in the field. I loved the characters and the case. I sat in suspense throughout and was thoroughly please with the ending. My thanks to the publisher for the advance reader in exchange for my honest review.

Austin homicide detective Jordan Poe finds herself chasing a serial killer that she fears is the same person who almost killed her sister two years ago. Determined, Jordan continues to work on the case after handing it over to Texas Ranger Carter Spencer, who has more experience. The two work together to solve the case when the killer comes after Jordan. Will they figure out the killer's identity in time?

Don't Look Now is a police procedural thriller full of suspense. Many unsavory suspects are introduced throughout the story until the identity of the killer and his twisted motives are uncovered. This suspense thriller will appeal to fans of plot-driven, chilling stories with a bit of romance thrown in.

Books where a character has a diminished eyesight or hearing always ratchet up the stress for me and this book had wonderful tension.
