A very easy and quick read. The love story is written really beautifully and I enjoyed the back and forth between characters and time periods. At the end a lot of the dialogue and plot felt quite forced & cheesy to me.

I can’t believe I finished this tormenting book; it took me more than two weeks, and I swear it almost finished me. I wanted to DNF it multiple times, but I’m trying to overcome this nasty habit and really give a chance to books I wouldn’t usually go for.
The book is divided into four movements and includes the POVs of both of our main characters. The pacing and the romance aspects didn’t connect with me as I’d hoped (in the second movement, I couldn’t decide whether I wanted to slap them or roll my eyes out of my head). I found the writing a little cringe, especially during the “sexy time” scenes between them, and it was really hard for me to get invested in them as a couple.
I have to admit that I don’t know how to rate this book. The first and the last two movements were solid 3 stars for me. The second movement was supposed to be the main part of the story where we actually fall in love with the characters, but that didn’t happen for me. I found that movement slow and boring, so I gave it 1 star.
BTW, Ash was my favorite character, and that says a lot about this book.
