I'm sobbing.

My favorite book of 2023 and in my top 5 of all time. This book made me fall in love, break my heart and then put it back together. EVERYTHING about this is flawless every time I've thought about it for the past hour I've stared at a wall and started crying.

I had a hard time getting into this. The beginning was slow and unengaging, and it wasn't until I reached about 30% that a few good chapters kept me reading. Unfortunately, as I neared the end, I found that this book just wasn't for me.

The main characters felt insufferable and, to be honest, I didn't feel like they even liked each other beyond physical attraction. I felt no emotional connection between the two of them and didn't care for the conclusion.

After reading This Used to be Us I was expecting a major plot twist. This was ok but sort of predictable. Not bad quick read.

Such a cute and emotional second-chance romance! My only gripe was how quickly the ending/ HEA wrapped up, I wanted a little more time with them after all the build-up!
