My love for the Dragon Kin series started with this book, The Dragon Who Loved Me. I didn't know when I picked up this book back in 2012 that it was the 5th book in the series. This novel made me fall in love with the series and I deiced to read from book 1 to the end, and I did.

Audio Jan. 2019: Here is where the narration change comes in from Hollie Jackson to Morgan Hallett. I wasn't found of this change, but eventually I got use to it. It took time for me to get into Morgan Hallett's narration and the voice's for all the old characters. Thou in this one we meet a bunch of new dragons. I really loved this book all over again. We get a war that is on going, we see that years have pasted, and that their are now children from human and dragon matings or not matings. It's a turning point in the series and a new direction. As always the humor is great and I feel it comes across so much better in audio then reading, but both options a great.

The Dragon Who Loved Me was an absolute joy to read. I loved Rhona and Vigholf’s journey. I very highly recommend this series. Can’t wait to dive into the next one.

What can I say about this series that I haven't already... I adore this series!

Rhona & Vigholf are a great couple! This book has A LOT of battles (which I love) and lots of favorites make appearances.

I'm looking forward to Izzy and Eibhear's story!

Finally!!! The war is....... Well you read the book to find out! There has always been something fun about these books. The characters play, act like children, can be in the middle of a battle and still throw barbs at each other...while that is fun, maybe this book took it a wee bit to far. Many of the couples in the previous book have been apart for 5 years due to the war with the Irons. Each of the humans and dragon's personalities are amplified in this book because of what has transpired over the last 5 years, so maybe that is what I am feeling after this book. It just got to be a bit much for me, yet I still love this wacky group!

If G.A. does not get to Izzy and Eibhear (spelled wrong as the names in these books are incomprehensible) soon, I will not be responsible for my actions.

I have no clue why I wait so dang long in-between each of these books and I looked and I said this in the last review. To be honest the only reason I listened to this book today was because the audiobook was only 3.99! Otherwise I probably wouldn't have read this one for awhile.

While I will say that the story itself wasn't all that fantastic... but it was just so dang funny! And ok the story was good.. There's a war going on and Annwyl the Bloody runs away to seek an alliance with a deadly rebel leader with out letting anyone know. So Rhona is set to fetch her and Vigholf the Abhorrent follows.

Really the only thing I didn't like about the book was Rhona... She was boring . So so boring. she is a soldier and she follows every order to a T. She wasn't funny, she wasn't necessarily smart, she didn't have superior fighting skills like Annwyl, she was just there. She took care of her sisters because all her mother cared about was battle and Rhona didn't really care for battle. She said she was good at it but she really wanted to be a blacksmith.

Vigholf was freaking hilarious. Since I have gone so long between books I can't really remember each male characters but I want to say that he is one of my favorites, if not my absolute favorite. He made me laugh the whole dang book. His thing with the horse was the best.

Now the next book.. I use to love Eibhear. But after what happens in this book I don't think I'm going to like him as much. He was so carefree and funny and I'm afraid he's going to be moody.. we shall see!

Loved the book. It did a very good job of creating a story that involved the entire clan. The last part of the book where everyone was together and interacting had me laughing so hard I almost fell off the bed. Simply delightful. Although, i have to admit all the military/battle movement and where everyone was located was confusing to me (guess I'm geographically challenged) so I took off .5 stars. I'd rate this book 4.5/5 stars. Can't wait for the next one!
