This book was delightfully absurd. A fascinating, funny, and sad reflection on work, how it does and doesn't define us, and the routinized tasks that all jobs have in common.

Incredible writing style, absurdist and always surprising. Anyone who has done this sort of service level work can probably see something in the novel, although I am not experienced in temping enough I think to fully get it. Fascinating, dark yet lighthearted and bizarre.

I really loved this book. It was so fun and also really sad and I related to it strongly as a young women kind of moving through life and work. It's a very quick read and we follow the unnamed narrator through her work. It's a really good and interesting and thought-provoking time.
