It was a good boredom read. I didn’t go into it with too many expectations and I only read it bc of a tiktok. That could be the reason for this rating if I’m being honest.

This book has a great storyline but this book was different to what I imagined. I enjoyed it but it was really hard knowing who the bad guy was the whole way through! He is revealed in the prologue and it threw me. I couldn’t relate to the character as well knowing he’s ultimately bad.

I love the progression in Lana’s character and how much she grows throughout, especially after meeting and training with Serenity (who I love!)

It definitely starts off slow and heats up throughout. Some of those scenes are great and I’m intrigued to see if her experience ruins it for some of the other boys.

Overall, I enjoyed it and I’m interested to see what adventures Lana has now she’s in the fae realm.

"Friends are like condoms. They protect you when things get hard." i'm reading this book bc of this quote ✨

“The past is dead. The future is unborn, while the present is alive. So live, Lana”

Wow okay, I just finished this book and needed a few moments to collect myself. I am absolutely awe struck by the progression of this book—beginning in a world plagued by unusually fierce natural disasters and a budding romance with the 5 boys she’s grown up with; to a multi-dimensional, Goddess-given quest to save a war-torn realm destroyed in a past life. Full of everything you could ever ask for: romance, action, humour, intensity and an all-consuming story.

I was so impressed with the multiple POVs, which added so much more depth and made each of the 5 love interests easier to connect with and distinguish between. Seriously want to reiterate the talent, time and effort it must’ve taken to conjure up SIX incredible characters to give us deeper insight into, without it becoming convoluted or losing track of the advancement of the bigger plot. I absolutely loved this book! Detonation can’t come soon enough.

Also, Lana’s rhyme is worth it’s own mention

The high fantasy of this book is so good! Not too much world building and it’s easy to follow. The smut is just right for the first book and the main character is like able enough.

4-4.5 stars,

Dang okay this book yes had its predictable moments, looking at you Ansher, but even with that it was still a great read!

For being a debut book I am really impressed. The humor reminded me of [a:Raven Kennedy|18343962|Raven Kennedy|https://images.gr-assets.com/authors/1551118362p2/18343962.jpg]'s I this gave me some Cupidity vibes, which I LOVED!

Lana and her boys (Leo, Luke, Zedd, Hale and Ash) all grew up in foster care together, they formed a tight friendship that was leaning to the more than friends side. Also within this world a lot of natural disasters were happening, it was pretty much their norm, which I thought was an interesting twist to how one event will change the course of the future.

Lana has gone through a lot growing up in the system but luckily Beth took in her and the boys and raised them for about 15 years. But the day before Lana's 21st birthday she and the guys experience some unexpected life...."upgrades". I don't want to give away anything else. I feel like going in to this book blind is the way to go. You get more out of it without having to expect what is going to happen next.

The next part is for me to remember what happened when the next book comes around.

Lana is actually Oslana from the beginning of the book and all of her mates are reincarnated as well. The only problem is that Ash had a Jekyll and Hyde situation with Ansher (who took over his body). You can tell that from the start when he is showing signs of being more territorial of Lana and taking it out on the other guys. I did predict that but I am not mad I did.

Now some key things to remember for the next book:
Leo: (Luke's Twin) Fire is his power, jokesters
Luke: (Leo's Twin) Water is his power, jokesters
Zedd: Nerd, wind is his power, quiet cutie, cooks and wants to maintain peace
Hale: power unknown....? maybe Earth..? Serious one, the Leader
Ash: Ansher power/aka the dark side, and lightening, if that is it?
Lana: All her mates powers
Serenity: Witch that is helping Lana and the guys figure out how to control the powers
Gaia: Earth Goddess, reincarnated Lana and the boys to help fight Ansher/dark fae.

I cannot wait for the second book, which if it isn't in my hands soon I will be pissed.
