I loved this book. I have read others by Brandon Mull, and this one is just as good as the others. I was so entertained, I could hardly put the book down to take care of my cute little boy.

Characters seemed flat, didn’t have much of a personality that separated them and their thoughts from each other. Overall, great story!

Super fun middle grade fantasy book. There are lots of fantasy books about wizards, witches, dragons, fairies, etc. Brandon Mull did something so different and unique with a book about magical candy. Young readers will love the ways this book opens up the imagination and will wish they could eat some magical candy of their own.

I liked this book! I got to go to a book signing for Brandon Mull when I was in middle school and I finally got around to reading this book! It is very different from what I normally read but I enjoyed it. I am always in shock with fantasy books of how the writers always combine everything up into a nice little bow. I liked it!

Don't take candy from strangers. Or anyone, really.

This book takes the saying of "Don't take candy from strangers" to the extreme!! The new sweet shop in town has very special candies, the problem is who to trust...

We loved this adventure. I have been thinking my big kids (10 and 12) would be ready for me to stop reading aloud, but this book brought adventure back alive together. We all had a great time!

A fun, quick YA middle school level read. 4 kids get involved with an old lady who gives them magical candy in exchange for doing tasks for her. Mull pulls together the story well at the end.
