While other "Wimpy Kid" books made Greg Heffley into a manipulative brat by having him deceive and take advantage of others (poor Rowley), this book returns to the series' original brilliance with hilarity that doesn't demean. "The Long Haul" is one of the best in the series, and I admit to laughing out loud at a bunch of different parts in the book.
Always a fun and smooth read when you feel like you are lagging behind your reading goals :)

I definitely enjoyed this one more than the last one....
It’s so much fun. This has always been my bet for the best children’s book series, and though Cabin Fever is my favourite, The Long Haul is such a fun time. I wish the film held a candle to this one.
I like this one the best. The vacation just goes crazy with a pig, birds, lost stuff, missing key. So much fun. And in all reality it's all Greg's fault. :)
