Well, I think this will be the last Wimpy Kid book I bother to read. I quite enjoyed the first few, and there are always a few good laughs, but I think I've kind of had it with Greg Heffley.

How many more terrible/annoying things can happen to Greg and his family? Can they have just one thing go right? There were still some very funny moments and the kids love it so you can’t go wrong with a little Diary :)
I always find these books to be hit or miss, and this one was a miss. It just seemed like everything that could go wrong, did (which I guess is the formula), but there didn't seem to be as much humor as past ones.
A better subtitle for this book, though not children-friendly, would be “The Road Trip from Hell.” I can’t even imagine this happening realistically, which is why it’s probably so much fun to read. I kept thinking to myself, “My mom would NEVER do that. The boat would not have happened and we never would have left that water park without searching EVERY locker.” We would have totally given up way earlier than the Heffleys. I certainly hope none of the road trip episodes happened to Jeff Kinney.
