Just adding this to my list because it was the first chapter book I ever read by myself way back in the first grade (representing 1995!). I even tried to make the recipe for freckle juice after I finished it ;).

I wasn't going to count this book, but then Goodreads told me I was a book behind my goal and I was feeling judged. Read this with a student who is a struggling reader. She's enjoying it!

An entertaining tale that sounds like something that could have actually happened when the author was a young schoolgirl. This is a fantastic book to introduce kids to the wonderful works of Judy Blume.
