I wanted freckles too, but I didn't go this far in my quest to get them. Some permanent markers did the trick for me.

"More than anything in the world, Andrew wants freckles. His classmate Nicky has freckles -- they cover his face, his ears, and the whole back of his neck. (Once sitting behind him in class, Andrew counted eighty-six of them, and that was just a start! One day after school, Andrew screws up enough courage to ask Nicky where he got his freckles. And, as luck would have it, who should overhear him but giggling, teasing Sharon (who makes frog faces at everybody!) Sharon offers Andrew her secret freckle juice recipe -- for fifty cents. That's a lot of money to Andrew -- five whole weeks allowance! He spends a sleepless night, torn between his desire for freckles and his reluctance to part with such a substantial sum of money. This book was read to me by a teacher and I quite liked it. Then I read it with a student as a reading buddy and enjoyed it again.

Loved this book, it changed my life when I was about 6, getting teased for having red hair and freckles. My mom bought me this, and I felt so much better about myself. I can't recommend it enough. All my kids have read it too.

A young boy deals with wanting freckles. He drinks a juice because a classmate gave him a recipe for freckles. He gets very sick. He learns that not everything is what it seems. It's a good book and all but it's a little boring but I would read the book I liked that it was a short book. if you like old school, the characters are pretty funny and i like that.
I read this as a kid. My family always talked about freckles as something to love (specifically, they pulled a, "if you don't eat your vegetables you won't get freckles") so I didn't really get why people hated theirs. I always loved having freckles.

Freckle Juice is about a kid named Andrew who wants freckles. He looks at Nicky's freckles because he wants them. A classmate, Sharon, shares a disgusting recipe with Andrew. Andrew went home to try the recipe and drinks it. It doesn't work and makes him sick. I liked that Andrew wants to look better and express himself. The book made me laugh because Sharon made a fake recipe and I thought Andrew believed in so much, he was gullible. I thought the book was kinda long and I wish it was 10 pages shorter. I gave it that many stars because I liked the idea and that this could actually happen. I like the illustrations too.
