This story is what I think would happen if a ruffian moved into my parent's posh neighborhood. Quite hilarious to read how snobbish people deal with an intruder into their perfect street, and how their shallow pretenses are disrupted by someone who does not care.
The story went rather slow, I was mostly annoyed with the characters and felt no sympathy for their plight. I am not sure if the plot was really resolved. Interesting situation, but not my favorite read.

This book was not for me. The blurb sounded interesting but I just found it boring. It is an extremely slow-paced read and it failed to hold my attention. It didn’t help that I didn’t care about any of the characters. They were either unbelievable or just extremely unlikable. I was holding out for a major plot twist and exciting ending but it never came. The book just faded out with an equally boring ending.

We've all had a neighbor from hell. What are you willing to do to get rid of them? Lots of twists and turns. I was sympathetic to these people but also found them snobbish and would be annoyed to have any of them as neighbors!

Promising plot, structure, and characters. However, it dragged in the middle and the stakes did not feel high enough. Some characters did things that made little sense. I think the novel could have used more focus on the class of the characters...it would have been possible to add in some more interesting twists.

One thing this reinforced for me: I don't own any property and I'm glad!
