I was excited to get stuck into this story and expected to be thrilled along the way. But I was disappointed by the level of surprise that was inflicted on me. The book just seemed to role on and even though there were some twists and turns that were unexpected, it didn’t result in gripping me. Despite this review I will be reading her new novel “our house” with an open mind, I hope I’m more impressed by it.
