I'd heard some people say that they thought this was a disappointment compared to the first book. It definitely wasn't to me. Although it wasn't as amazing as [b:Angelfall|11500217|Angelfall (Penryn & the End of Days, #1)|Susan Ee|https://d202m5krfqbpi5.cloudfront.net/books/1319887835s/11500217.jpg|16435765], I still really enjoyed it. Susan Ee just made it to my favorite authors list!

BY THE ANGEL (I'm being a bit multi-fandom here, yes.) Wow. I can't find the right words to describe how incredible World After is. The start was a bit of a drag for me but the last few chapters
Spoiler(aka when Raffe and Penryn reunite)
were so amazing they made up for the first half of the book. I flew through the last few chapters, I was just so hooked. This book had me tangled up in my emotions. Susan Ee just knows when to give you action, romance and humor at the right time. To anyone struggling to get through the first parts, the ending is worth it, I swear on every book I own! To anyone who is having second thoughts on reading World After, this is the sign saying "GO AHEAD AND READ IT WHAT ARE YOU WAITING FOOOOR?" Yep, it's just that awesome.

I seriously love this series, these books just keep getting better and better. I was a bit scared going into this book that it was gonna have second book syndrome but it doesn't. Its as good if not better than the first book. I can't wait to read the final book in this series and see how everything wraps up.

Oh boy what a disappointment. I loved the first book and the ending left much room for where the story could go, but oh my. This book is bad, it is mostly filler and guess what, the main plot of this book is recovering Paige yet again. Paige is only a character placed to drive the plot which is almost the exact same as the first book.

Well there are some interesting things added in this book like the angel swords actually being able to talk to whomever is currently imprinted to it. As well as some of the reasons of why the angels attacked Earth in the first place is reveled and that is about it.

In short, read the first book and stop. If you really want to know what happens after read the second one.

I really loved Angelfall and seeing that many were disappointed with World After or felt like it pales in comparison with its predecessor can make a girl worried that it may suffer from the second book syndrome. And then here comes Susan Ee proving me that it's all about the chemistry guys. Sometimes, a book just speaks to you. And this one does. It gets me. It knows the right amount of action, gore, humor and a slight touch of romance that I want.

I'm so glad that I wasn't really bothered by its pacing and Penryn & Raffe's separation which are the two main things that ticked some people off. I like that Penryn doesn't intentionally play hero and that her family will always be her top priority but she still has it in her to be compassionate toward others. She may get the urge to save them but she knows her limits too. I especially love how badass she is and how she don't need no man to save her but of course a devastatingly handsome angel coming to the rescue won't hurt either. I mean, give the girl a break. She's beaten guys on her own and she's a little midget of 5'2. Way to go, sistah!

Here we have the middle child.

Not really enough to stand in its own…it may have been better as a few chapters plugged into the other books. There’s some important character development here, but it doesn’t shine as bright as the first and last of the series. I’m sure a lot of it has to do with missing Raffe, even though I’m glad Penryn can stand on her own. I still found myself attentive and drawn it, but never fulfilled. It just felt like setup for the last book the whole time. None of the scenes really matched the intensity shown in the first book and that left me a bit disappointed. Not a bad read, though. Still worth it.
