3.75 rounded up. It was high adventure very good ride but it did stress me out thinking about we aren’t going to ever get closure. But she gave it to us. I look forward to reading the next book some time in the future.

I really enjoyed the first book in this series[b:A Blade So Black|36952594|A Blade So Black (Nightmare-Verse, #1)|L.L. I think because it is the middle title, Alice spends so much time apart from her friends, and it's mostly a journey (journeys are not my fav). I love a good retelling and this series is an awesome take on the [b:Alice's Adventures in Wonderland|6324090|Alice's Adventures in Wonderland (Alice's Adventures in Wonderland, #1)|Lewis Carroll|https://i.gr-assets.com/images/S/compressed.photo.goodreads.com/books/1391204048l/6324090._SX50_.jpg|55548884] series. Looking forward to future entries, and glad this one did not end on a cliffhanger like the first one.

I really enjoyed the second book in the Nightmare-Verse series. Since the first book ended on a cliff hanger, I jumped right into the second book because I had to know what happened next. While the first book only had the main character Alice’s POV this book had multiple point of views. It was a nice surprise from the first book and it was easy to keep up with the differing viewpoints.I listened to the audiobook of this and was pleasantly surprised with the different voice actors for the POVs.  I enjoyed the story and where it went in this book. This one didn’t end on a cliff hanger so I look forward to seeing where the 3rd book takes us.
