Really liked this one! I wasn’t a huge fan of Kris in the first 3 books. She felt very spoiled and stuck up to me. I liked getting to know her more and her backstory in this book. She also evolves nicely into this book.

Kris’ very wealthy father has forced her to get a job the summer before her senior year. So she goes to LA to work. She so to be evil step-mother follows her since her dad is traveling for work. Kris comes up with a plan to prove that Gloria (the step monster) is cheating or will cheat on her dad.

She hires Nate to pretend to be her boyfriend so Gloria will get jealous and try and steal Nate away. Then Kris’ PI can snap pics of the two together and boom bye bye Gloria. However, Kris and Nate fall for each other and things get more dramatic from there.

I think any critical thinker would agree that this book is worlds better than the first two books (which I still loved because I am easy to please). I have been intrigued by Nate Reynolds since the very first Twisted book & now 11 AH books later we are finally here & his book was not at ALL what I was expecting. It was better?

Kris wasn't a likeable character to me in the other books but she grew on me and I really enjoyed reading her story.

I loved Kris and Mads. They were definitely more lovable than Farrah and Blake, and the beginning had me instantly hooked.

Plot jumped around constantly. Added on random plot points just to tack on an extra page. No where near as good as the first two books.

Does Ana Huang have a bad book? No. The answer is no. I had been avoiding this book for no real reason, and damn, did it get me hook, line and sinker from the first line. The characters were brilliant - three-dimensional, full of growth, lovely. The sex was different than her normal sex scenes and the chemistry was 🔥🔥🔥. This book made me laugh, cry, and I read it in one sitting. A great read.
