This book was so good. When I saw it was about Kris I was apprehensive because I didn’t love her in the first two books but this gave her so much more depth and I really fell for her. You know that she’s already engaged in book 2 but to see how their story played out was good. It was a different concept than what I have read before but it was fun, and added a lot to the side plots of the story. This one at times was like a telenovela. It was messy in areas but you couldn’t stop reading it to know what would happen next. To me this was a real shift from the first two books going to this one.

Kris was a hard character to like. This was soap opera level drama, entertaining at the very least!

one thing about me is that i can’t stop reading ana’s books in one sitting. it’s actually impossible to not read them in one sitting.

i don’t know why it took me so long to read book 3 of this series?? kris and nate did not deserve that. i think kris had a lot to learn about herself and she desperately needed to be humbled. she still has this mindset even after the whole book of “daddy will cover it, he’d never really disown me”. i get that she was raised that way but it is infuriating for her to not learn anything after losing everything (i mean gloria’s fault but still).

nate’s heart is pure and he deserves something good after all the shit he’s been through. he still has a lot of trauma though and could definitely benefit from therapy.

I was almost done with the book, characters were really weak. Plot drove the book. Wished the characters were stronger.
