If Love Had A Price

I had very hard time to finish the rest of the book after the third-act break up, the whole idea of giving someone money so they can break-up with my child is so dump, are we watching K-drama from last decade? Also I hate how the author solved the conflict in this book. MMC and FMC worked together to plot FMC's evil future step-mom and they failed so badly, then FMC's dad found out his (support to be) future wife cheating on him with her PT, it was so random. I know the author explained that MMC plotted this reveal then why they didn't do that in the first place?????! The story only got worse when FMC's real mom appeared from no where as if the author thought: How can I fix FMC and her dad's relationship? Oh yeah, let's bring back her mom. But her mom left them since FMC was a child. Okay, let's do like this, her mom is not her mom but her aunt. And her mom was still alive but she lives somewhere else :)))))) And if I have to read about FMC's design brand clothes any further, I will be pissed. I know she's bloody rich okay, don't repeat about it in every chapter.

In general, if you find something easy to read, it's not for you. Don't read it, it's a waste of time. BookTok content creators are just being overhyped about this book. Find something more worthy for your time.

Gunna say 3.2 ⭐️ because it was definitely better than Farrah and Blake’s story but not by much.
I liked that this book had significant drama and plot in it other than just the relationship, but what I found was that the drama was just so far fetched and unbelievable that it was pretty cringey. Pretty mediocre spice level, and it always pisses me off when books have characters that have a ‘wedding of the century’ or other events filled with ‘A-listers’ etc etc, is that really the gold standard for success?
Also found it funny that Nate is an actor who literally never practices acting or works but happens to land a major role. Like, is our king practicing his craft or just going to auditions, fucking and making coffees?

I actually liked this one.
Huang is popular and I can definitely see why; it's good. I enjoyed this one much more than God of Wrath for sure.
Nothing too serious; it's giving cobb salad.
