this book was sooo cute and so funny, the fmc and mmc are both super feisty so it’s so funny to see them interact but it was also sooo cute and a good city love story

This story was so cutee, seeing the main characters make it to the end and overcoming their financial differences. Showing that love conquers all.

to stay within the theme of money, you couldn't pay me to read this book. I actually loathe when authors try to make me sympathize with spoiled brats. I would've let it slide if the main character was like 15 to be acting this way but this girl was in her mid-20's calling her stepmother the "stepmonster" when she should really not be all up in her dad's business. like who tf cares if your dad is older n he has a wife who's half his age? if she's not actively trying to kill him and he seems happy, let the man get some! the whole plot point of why she hated her stepmom being that she's too young, has the body of jessica rabbit, a nice country twang accent, and that she convinced her dad to try to let her stand on her own feet (make decent money on her own n not take $100k+ shopping trips daily) is such a hard sell for me to like her cause this is veruca salt levels of spoiled.

I understand where huang was coming from to set up all the exposition for the main character's growth but goDDAMN it was so frustrating being in this girl's brain
