This book felt old school in some ways (mmc is a cop, possessive behavior) but it’s Tessa Bailey so it’s 🔥 and I did love the groveling at the end!

Every time he called her cutie I wanted to DNF. His games were gross and disappointing. The spicy parts were well done but Charlie as a partner left a lot to be desired

Not my favorite Tessa Bailey novel, but still a fun, lighthearted read. It’s very predictable throughout so it was nice to listen to a book while doing household chores and not have to completely focus on the plot. Charlie was a secret softie throughout and I think he’s the only one who didn’t realize this. Ever is a people pleaser and needs to grow a little more backbone with her mom.
