This book is literally a red flag. A guy with a big ego want to win “his” woman back. He constantly gets jealous and then beats up or tries to ruin Evers chance of happiness. He literally calls himself an egoistisch asshole, which is 100% true. Charlie is a toxic egotistical guy, who just throws a fit if he doesn’t get what he wants. He’s the type of guy of whom you read in the news that he turned into a stalker and is now being convicted of a guy who talked to his ex-girlfriend.
Even at the end, when he tries to win her back, he says that he is unhappy. Definition of egoistical. I do not like this and am honestly surprised that I managed to finish this.

Ever has been a "mistress" her whole life. Her mother was one too and warned her against men and the risk of getting left behind. She has a set of rules to follow and only picks men married to their jobs for a period of 30 days. When she meets Charlie, police officer in training who only wants something casual, it seems like a perfect match. However, a declaration by Ever's mother shakes her convictions and she decides to start dating for real. Only, to do that, she needs to get rid of the man she's getting attached to but doesn't want anything more than casual. But can Charlie really let her go that easily?
I loved the premise of the book and the angst it created without it being a big misunderstanding. Ever and Charlie's characters underwent a lot of growth and all of it was done without any hint of insta-love. The ending felt a little cheesy for me, but I love how the epilogue sets the next two books in the series. Can't wait to read about Danika and Jack's adventures.

I was just bored. Ever- the perfect blonde, with a great ass, and golden pussy but has commitment issues thanks to her mother. Then you have dude who’s so obsessed with law enforcement he hates his mom. It’s just weird.
Pretty good, but I think I would have enjoyed it more if I read it instead of listened to it.
Something about a dude trying to sound like a girl is cringy, especially in the smutty parts.
Yikes.
