Slippers, a snuggly pup, and this steamy book made my Saturday instantly better. Bailey knocks it out of the park with a fun, smile inducing novel featuring rising cop Charlie and event caterer Ever. Instant chemistry, mixed signals and busy schedules lead our characters on a merry ride to realize that love is worth everything. Both have backstories that contribute to their present casual take on romance but when faced with the real deal they misfire. I loved hearing Charlie’s filthy but raw perspective more so than Evers, which didn’t quite feel as real to me. With an ending worthy of any rom-com, I can’t wait to dive in to the second book in the series.

I never laugh out loud when I read, but I did several times while reading this book. I absolutely loved this lust-to-love story.
I switched between the audiobook (1-22) and ebook (22-end); I liked the female narrator and the male narrator was ok (I didn't like his female voice). This book was another example why Ms. Bailey is queen of dirty talk.
