As an adult, I feel like the Christian imagery just slaps you in the face. I noticed as a kid, but maybe not as much?
Overall, I still really enjoyed the book and it was definitely a different experience having it read to me.

This book scared me so much as a child, but it's come to be my favorite of the series.

My daughter enjoyed me reading this out loud. She already knows the story of the lion the witch and the wardrobe from the movie, and enjoyed reading about the origins of Narnia. We also enjoyed various phrases and words. As soon as we finished it, we jumped into the next book!

Context: My sister and I created something we call the Narnia Challenge. It is where you compete with a group or another person to see who can finish The Chronicles of Narnia the fastest. You can do it for a prize or bragging rights. (We personally are doing it for bragging rights.) But you read each novel and then you write a paragraph about the novel. I however had an extra challenge thrown into the pre-existing challenge… I had to write my paragraph about how much I either loved or missed having High King Peter in the book. (If you can’t tell I Love Peter.)Feel free to do the challenge if you would like with your friends or family. And if you do please share with me because I would love to talk about your experience with this challenge. Below are the paragraphs from The Narnia Challenge that I wrote I hope you enjoy.
The start of Narnia! Soon we will meet Peter but not yet because we need to know the start of Narnia and the magician’s nephew. But the magician’s nephew will know Peter in his old age. So, it is a win/win for me and him. Loved the book; now onto Peter!
