4.5 hearts!!

Well, here I thought no other A.L. Jackson hero could come close to Ash Evans. Boy was I wrong. I am completely in love with the swoony Dr. Kale Bryant. I was halfway in love with him after meeting him in the first book, Show Me The Way, (especially after his interactions with Sweet Pea Frankie Leigh) this book pretty much sealed the deal.

Follow Me Back is exactly what I wished for it to be. Emotionally charged. Sexy. Sweet. Angsty. There is a reason why A.L. Jackson is one of my favorite authors. Her gorgeous, heart filled words always manage to leave me feeling all the emotions. I'm almost positive I spent the last 20% of the book in tears. Straight up ugly crying my eyes out. The woman is a word genius.

Like every book I've read by this author, I fell head over heels for the characters. Kale is cocky, flirtatious and charismatic. I love his interactions with his patients. (My goodness is there anything sexier than a guy who is great with kids. Nope!) He's also a little broken. An unfortunate event in the past had caused him to avoid relationships at all cost. Living for his work, his friends and a random fling here and there. That is, until his instant and powerful connection to Hope and Evan.

Now, I have to admit, even with all that love I shared for Kale above, in this book Hope was my star. I will always root for a strong female and that's Hope for sure. She may come off as shy and a little closed in at first but then you come to see her fierceness and intense determination. Her dedication to her son, Evan, who by the way is the most adorable and completely huggable little boy ever, is admirable. She would anything for him. I just looove her. Harley Hope Masterson is one of my favorite A.L. Jackson characters to date

Follow Me Back is such an amazing read. You can tell this author poured her heart into it. I’m excited to read more from this series. I love it so much. I can't get enough of this town and these characters.

AL Jackson has done it again! Follow Me Back is a wonderful book that brings out all kinds of emotions! Kale is a Dr that is struggling with his past and Hope runs a coffee shop and she also has a lot on her plate. Neither one of them have it easy as they both face their own demons. The chemistry between them is off the charts! There is heartache, love and laughter. All things that make up a wonderful story. I highly recommend this book and can’t wait to see what AL releases next!

3.5 Stars

Follow Me Back is the second book in the Fight for Me series. Overall, I enjoyed this book. AL Jackson has great plot ideas, and her characters are likeable. I had wanted to feel more connected to the characters, but it took me a while to really care. I loved Evan right from the start, though! One other thing that really started to bother me were the clipped sentences; I know they were supposed to enhance the plot and add dimension to Kale's characters, but they really bother me. I will say that the last 30% of the book was great- I'd give that 5 stars, but the beginning took a while for me to really get into it.

This was an emotional read but such a great storyline. The characters tried to fight the attraction but they had so much chemistry it was hard and throw in the little kid and your heart is immediately stolen.

Intensely real, emotion embedded in every page

A stunning novel that takes your heart through the ringer, making you feel things you wished you never had to feel. Yet you love every minute of the gut wrenching, heartbreaking emotions that threaten to break you right along with Kale , Hope and tiny Evan. I loved their story and appreciate the effort it takes authors to drag themselves through hell to create these incredible stories that resonate in our hearts and keep us coming back for more. I cannot wait to read Ollie and Nikki's story and see where you take us this time.

Kale and Hope both have medical related trauma. Him from losing his first love and her from dealing with her son’s medical needs. I loved both characters but I hated how he dealt with things. I get it. He’s scared but ugh. Then he didn’t do nearly enough groveling to get back. You do not propose in your apology and take me back speech.
