I enjoyed this book, not as much as I did This is Going to Hurt which made me laugh a lot but there is a openness and vulnerability which I enjoyed! I liked the flashback moments but at points I struggled to then follow on from those. Overall, it’s a good read but not my favourite.

Really enjoyed his previous two books but the jokes felt like they were trying too hard in this. Appreciated the candidness in sharing though.

I was lucky enough to see Adam do his live show just a few days ago at the Melbourne Comedy Festival, I'm kicking myself for not bringing my copy of this along to get it signed but it felt embarrassing to admit to him that I hadn't finished reading it yet and my copy of This Is Going to Hurt was locked away from moving house.

This was such a funny and moving book, I was worried that it wouldn't be as interesting as it's more a personal memoir than medical stories but it was just as interesting and maybe even more emotionally impactful. It almost made me cry and it's even having me consider quitting my job (I'm not in medicine but the words of wisdom in the afterword have me giving serious thought to troubles that have been plaguing me over the last few months).

Such a charming, witty and insightful storyteller. A must read.
