The Nurse's Lie

This book was pretty good! I enjoyed the suspense and mystery of it all. It’s about a girl with amnesia trying to figure out who she is, what she’s done, and what she is capable of doing. It was a quick, easy read. The ending had me wanting more!

A good second book leaving you with unanswered questions going into the final book of the series. Easy to read and follow. Tense. A little scary !

Pippa's existence was once uncomplicated. During the day, she was a committed nurse, attending to patients. By evening, she assumed the role of a devoted mother, retrieving her son from kindergarten and preparing meals for her family, including her husband. Each minute spent with her family was invaluable to her. However, everything transformed when she transgressed a boundary - nurses are meant to preserve lives, however she facilitated the termination of one and concealed it to safeguard her family.

She is now leading a deception, apprehensive about the moment her secret is disclosed. A woman from her past enters, a former coworker who possesses comprehensive knowledge. She has returned, unequivocally expressing her desire for retribution about past grievances. Pippa's heart accelerates, although she refuses to surrender without resistance. She will take any necessary measures to ensure her family's safety, even if it requires completing her initial undertaking.

The narrative is less thrilling than anticipated following the conclusion of the series' inaugural installment.

Not as interesting or attention grabbing as the first book. Also Pippa’s ideas or plans doesn’t really seem plausible. I get the point of trying to protect the family but seems it escalated and just got to the point of ridiculous.

Not as good as the first book because it’s a bit of an outlandish/unbelievable storyline but nonetheless it’s a very suspenseful thriller. Daniel Hurst does an amazing job leaving chapters on a suspenseful cliffhanger making it impossible to put the book down. This book also ended on a cliffhanger so obviously I have to read the third book now and I’m excited about it. Overall this was still a super easy, fun thriller to read!
