Really enjoyed reading it. Made me look up a lot of information on the Panama Canal. Enjoyed how you jumped between different character point of views.
this was my first time reading a story about the place i come from and an event that i can trace my ancestors back to. i still have a lot of research to do but i’m so happy to have literature like this that makes me feel proud about where and who i come from.

Intriguing historical fiction book about the Panama Canal and its construction era. Told through a few different characters. I really liked it and probably would never have picked it up if it weren’t for a book club.
