Wasn't gripping enough, so I returned it.

In all these years of reading the Dark Hunter Books I have fallen madly in love with Nick. And this book was just miserable to read it was like she was trying to get on the twilight bandwagon. Nick deserves a real book a better book. Like her real books. And all the zombie shit was just so bad. Plus since when did Nick ever use the word Crap?! Seriously! No way would he talk like that in the other DH novels. He says shit, fuck, damn, and hell. This is not what I would expect from her. I am so sad that this book sucked for such an amazing character as Nick.

Super fun real-world fiction with demons and monsters. A story about a young Cajun with an inferiority complex due to troublesome childhood. Relate-able because I was his age when I first read it.

Not bad for a YA spinoff/prequel series start. It was a quick read. By the end I liked it enough to possibly read more. It started out slow and in the beginning I didn't think I would like this at all. There seemed to be a lot going on and so many different species of characters that wee introduced all at once. Interesting enough though that I am curious about the adult series this came from.

This is different. If you've been reading Kenyon's Dark Hunter series. Nick Gautier will be familiar to you. This seems to be a parallel series in which we discover how Nick falls in with Kyrian and Ash and how exterior forces try to change Nick's path.

As historical background on Nick and his family, it's interesting. I'm curious to see where it goes from here with all the tidbits which Kenyon has dropped about Nick's paternal side of the family...

❤️❤️❤️

I loved this. Of course, you can tell the story is being narrated by a younger and less confident Nick Gautier than other portions of the Dark Hunter series he was in. However, I felt it was the perfect setup for the books that come next. I definitely enjoyed this book.

Infinity by Sherillyn Kenyon (YA) is is about Nick Gautier as a young teen when he first hooked up with Kyrian. It is full of snarky comments and background information on Ash, Kryian, Nick, his mother and some other squires. I loved it. Great for the Dark Hunter fan

I love her romance Dark-hunter series, but I was wary about her teen stuff because it seems like all adult authors are gettin gon the bandwagon. But this was good. Dark and for older teens, sure, but good. It's Kenyon's awesome world of all types of the supernatural and great characters. It didn't suck me in like her adult series, but still, enjoyable. When Invincible comes out in paperback, I'm sure I'll be getting ahold of that too.
