I started this book in February... FEBRUARY!! And finished in July. And how - I hear you ask - did you manage to take such an astronomically long time to read a book? The answer: school. I really do hate it sometimes.
Anyway, back to the book. It was brilliant. When I finally moved on from being on page 12 for 6 months, I could not put it down. It was gripping, and I'm straight onto the next.
Also, I am still convinced that Cassandra Clare puts some sort of drug in her books.

Mucho love for this series! Cassie Clare has a GIFT for hooks and fight scenes. Could have given me a break on the constant scene setting, but it never made me want to put it down.
And can I call it now? Brother Zachariah HAS to be Will or Jem. Sister Cleophas has me wondering, too...

I really wanted to give this book 5 stars - because overall I'm just in love with the series and the characters. However, the storyline in this book just wasn't perhaps as intense as it was in the other books. I'm definitely anxious to see what Cassandra brings in book #6!

The main reason I didn't give this book 5 stars was the story line between Clary and Jace. It had me nearly yawning a few times and yelling at Clary at other times. I loved that there are various story lines and now there are several "love stories"… I did enjoy that there were several smaller stories all within this one book.

Another great read by Cassandra Clare - do I really have to wait until 2014 for the last book!?!? TORTURE!
