To be honest, I never was or am a fan of the sea and stories revolving around it. Therefore Ariel itself was never a favorite Disney movie of mine and neither was this book. I couldn't really connect with it, additionally the atmosphere created by the plot didn't suit the characters at all. Sometimes things went too smooth for my liking, but the political part of this novel kept me kind of invested, which is why I give this piece three out of five stars. It was ok.

Although it can be a bit slow if you're in the mood to read for the joy of seeing the what if, it's great. Good character development and seeing Ariel in a different light.

I liked this one okay. I think some of the others were better but some were worse. Interesting twist set up.

Started pretty slow, but became pretty addicting to listen to!
