This book was excellent. If it taught you absolutely nothing, you need to re-read this book. I don't agree with the title though because I don't think it tells you how to win friends or influence people. I think this book would be better titled "How to maintain a more positive influence on people and strengthen your relationships". I have already used some tips. It's a book that I will always need with me because I think the messages are so critical that they need to be re-read 1,000 times. I think students should be forced to read this book. That being said, there is heavy criticism for the book's advice in being a more passive leader; however, I think that is the wrong message to derive from this book. Something that I have noticed with the leaders in my life is that they are in Carnegie's sense a more empathetic leader, willing to listen, and aren't overbearing.
I am looking for a job, and I think that I am definitely going to start to utilize these tips by becoming more connected people in an authentic way but also working towards praise in things that people around me do.

It was a nice listen (listened on Audible)! I enjoyed how Dale presents the principles through storytelling. It tickled me to hear him mention so many historical figures in this book as well.
There will probably never be a perfect rubric for friend-making and leadership, but this is a darn good introductory guide on how to be a decent and more empathic human being.

I learned a LOT from this book! I had to read it as a mandatory book for a families class, but I'm so glad that I did! Already my confidence when talking to others has increased, and I can thank it all to this book!
I can see why this is a classic. It's full of fun anecdotes and useful recommendations.

Awesome book with what seems like common sense, but many things that have been forgotten. It sounds like a self-help book from the title, but it's really at it's core about respecting others and how to have good relationships.
