To be honest, when I picked up this book I doubted it would have anything to really tell me that I didn't already know and in all fairness, perhaps it didn't.
The way this book was written made me think about so many aspects of my own personality and got me looking in the mirror at myself and thinking about how I present myself to others.
I was very surprised - and I certainly enjoy being surprised when I pick up a book.

Nothing really groundbreaking in this book but maybe in the 30s there was. I think our world has swung away from a lot of the messages in this book and I think most people could learn a little more from the general theme of be kind, generous, and interested in others. I liked this book and it was charming to read. Some things were a little dated, but not nearly as much as I thought they might be.

Overall a good book. The examples are a bit lengthy. Even though there are examples from personal experiences, it feels very business like, nearly a bit shady. The principles are helpful and important, but have to be taken with a grain of salt depending on where you live – otherwise you'll appear very "American".
