A solid psychological thriller with an intriguing plot that kept me guessing until the end. The murder mystery element was well done and full of mind-bending twists. However, the characters were all so unlikeable that it made the story feel heavier and more unpleasant than it needed to be. Despite that, the suspense and clever reveals made it a worthwhile read.

An entertaining enough thriller, but nothing out of the ordinary. The characters were not very likable and the reveal at the end was weird. Meh.

A really interesting thriller that incorporates Greek mythology and creates a compelling narrative. I was intrigued to know how this story would unfold, and while I was interested, I wasn't excited or eager to find out the ending. I felt that the ending was a bit obscure but it very much hit me and I wasn’t expecting it.

I did love the use of Greek mythology in it, especially the aspects with Persephone, but wished it played a bigger part near the end of the book.

okay but when the author of the letter used the word "premonition" i for suurrrreeeee thought it had to be jack. Like???????? But okay finding out it was sebastion was a huge shock for me and makes me so sad for Zoe. She was groomed by this sick predator to become a tool for him

Spoiler for the Child Abuse and Pedophilia CW: late in the novel it is revealed that a female character was groomed from a young age by a male character that was close to her and sort of like a father figure. It can be assumed that this male character has sex with the female character while she is underage. Since she is not old enough to consent, I also tagged CW rape.

I guessed the ending pretty early on. Also, the resolution to the story was a bit lacking and didn’t really tell you what the characters came away with and ended at a weird moment that would have been interesting to see.
