loved it funny conversations great characters unexpected ending
Workaholics should really read this. Actually, people who don't seem to appreciate life and family and only thinks about work and being the best in everything should read this. Sometimes, being the best is not the best thing in life. You have to be happy enjoying life with family and friends and do things that you like to do. Yes, we need money but money alone doesn't guarantee happiness in life. This story is a prefect reflection of meaning of happiness in life. Read it!!
3.5 stars, the ending redeemed the book a little for me so gave the extra half star.
A slow burn book that didn’t really get going until the last 60 pages or so. Bit disappointing as I usually love Cecelia Aherns books. Basically a modern day retelling of A Christmas Carol! The ending was quite poignant though with a lovely message!

couldn't finish it, unlike me normally trudge through!!
Actually 3.5 stars !!!
I chose this book because it was a great deal at the Kobo Store, and I also wanted some Christmas related book for this Season.
I enjoyed the book and as I read I could identify so many people I knew that acted just like Lou, giving up everything just because they think work is the most important thing in life.
I think it was beautifully written but I could not feel really connected to Lou. So many chapters broke my heart, and I wasn't expecting the ending.
The message in the book is clear, and is nice to be reminded of this for Christmas!!
