Really loved the beginning when topic was more around decorative aesthetics, but all the body horror stuff after was too body-horrible for me. On one hand, a delicious amount of theory. On the other, just watch a Contrapoints video.

I found the first few essays engaging and I enjoyed Becca Rothfeld pushing and pulling on my current way of thinking, but as the collection wore on... I realized that I was not the intended audience for the book.

This book made me want to read a lot more. I really loved its combative tone, even if nobody will probably agree with all of the chapters, it’s invigorating to think about all of it.
